I would not recommend hiring Randi. I now understand that this is a make up group. She may have have other ladies that work under her that are better. I don't even know where to begin. During my consultation Randi talked up all her work and how wonderful she was. What I experienced was a lot of talk and no action on wedding day. I booked her because all of her client photos were AMAZING! I figured I could deal with crazy if the work was good. I made an appointment for a trail run. Randi did not have my phone number saved and was running late. 15 minutes before my appointment Randi tried to reschedule on me. i told her I could not and we still proceeded to do a trail run a couple of minutes late. I told Randi I had to be some where by 6pm. The trail ran from 4:30 until 6pm! I was thrilled at my trail run. I LOVED my make up. Again, I thought I can deal with is b/c my make is great! Wedding Day -- Randi said she needed to start at 12:30 to get 4 people done by 3pm. Well at 12:30 Randi was no where in sight. I called her. The bride should not be calling vendors on day of because they are late. Randi got lost and showed up at 1 pm! After she showed up late it took her a couple of minutes to set up and Randi began on me. She kept assuring me that the bride and eyes take the longest. She would have all of us done. At 3 pm, she was just beginning on my step mom. My step mother missed all of my getting ready pictures because she was getting make up done! I told Randi we all had to be done by 3pm! Once Randi finished everything but my mascara, I looked in the mirror and make up was caked on my face. I went back to here and told her this. She did a little bit more blending, but did not fix it!!! I was in the bathroom blending my own make up. Randi then proceeded to take a break before starting on the next person. My bridesmaids and step mom then informed me that she kept answering her phone while she was doing there make up. Randi also told me during the consult that she would cover up scars and bruises as well. None of this was done at all! Not even asked. Just skipped over! She also said she was a licensed esthetician. I never saw her use a single disposable applicator. I would just go somewhere else. I had an amazing wedding. Randi was my worst vendor. The other vendors at my wedding thought she was doped up on something. I don't know. All I can do is educate future brides to be...

Randi did my makeup for my wedding and I am so glad I booked her. I was really concerned about looking either overly made-up or washed out, but she put my fears to rest during the trial. I received so many compliments on my makeup which photographed really well in both natural and low light throughout the night and didn't feel heavy at all. I'd never worn false eyelashes before, but she tried them on me in our trial and they made a big difference without looking clownish or overly dramatic. She made me look elegant and radiant and has a fantastic personality!

Please ladies (and gentlemen), if you're going to invest time, energy and finances in a special event for which you will be digitally captured and preserved for eternity, professional make-up is a must! If your make-up skills are limited, then Randi Buchanan is the professional make-up artist to trust. Randi is an amazing artist who can transform a facial palette to celebrity-look status with a few whisks of a brush. OK, it may be a little more involved than that. It took Randi roughly 45 minutes to make me look like me but beautifully enhanced. And what a payoff! I look stunning in my wedding photos. I highly recommend a consultation with Randi and a trial run of full make-up coverage. Wear your trial run for a day and make note of what you like or what you would prefer to change. Randi is open to your suggestions and has a wealth of pots, bottles, tubes and brushes with which to work her magic. That magic made me as pretty as a royal princess. Another big plus is Randi will perform your make-up transformation at your home or wherever your event is being held and will remain with you for as long as you feel necessary should any touch-ups or last minute fixes be required. Who doesn't want to look their best? With Randi on board, you will truly know what your best can be!

I had a great experience with Randi and her make-up artist Melissa. They're both very talented and I was 100% happy with the way I looked on my wedding day. If I have another big event I will definitely use them again!
